zip code pillows wholesale Learn How to Paint a Dresser for a BOLD Statement a Giveaway pillow covers farmhouse

2020-01-20 14:06:43 custom design gift for mom

You guys?! I am so, ridiculously excited about this post! First of all, have you HEARD the recent announcement by Ace Hardware? OPI has paired with Clark Kensington to come up with a line of paint colors?! Yep! And they are every bit as rich in color and delicious as the OPI nail polishes {the only nail polish I use}. I was MORE than happy to give the new paint a try as a member of the Ace Blogger's panel.

I knew exactly what project I wanted to tackle. In the coming months, I will be working on putting together a home office/craft space where I can do all of my blogging and that is going to require quite a few paint transformations. The first thing I wanted to transform is this antique dresser that used to live in my twin girls' nursery. Back then, I had painted it green on green with a sweet lattice pattern {see below}. It was perfect for their nursery. It was not at all what I wanted for my home office.

Sozip code pillows wholesale, I headed to my local Ace Hardwareto check out the three distinct color collectionsoffered by OPI and Clark Kensington–;The Artist, The Wild Heart and The Romantic. Each collection contains six iconic OPI nail polish shades. They are also paired with five coordinating Clark Kensington colors to make coordinating color choices easy. The OPI colors are perfect as an accent color for your home, just the way a fabulous nail color is perfect to accent your wardrobe!

I didn't have any trouble picking out my paint colors. Ace Hardware's The Paint Studio makes it so easy because it offers a boutique-style shopping experience and because Ace is the helpful place! I chose three of the OPI colors because I really wanted to make this piece of furniture a bold statement piece. All three of my colors are from The Wild Heart collection {go figure}! I selected My Pointe Exactly, Black Onyx and Suzy Says Feng Shui.

I grabbed a quart of flat finish in each color and got to work! It took some time to figure this project out, so I am going to share with you the full tutorial of how to paint a dresser with a BOLD geometric pattern, which will make it much easier on you if you decide to tackle this yourself. To save money, I decided to reuse the drawer pulls, but I didn't love the look of the pewter finish, so I spray painted them with metallic gold spray paint. Once they dried, I reattached them. Here is the finished product!
