With a cheeky smile Tonya Trantham？is saying goodbye to？Winter today. She alters an old snow globe (snow = Winter) and turns it into a welcoming and？colourful Spring and Easter inspired globe.
I found the musical snow globe sitting in my husband’；s study window –； all the water evaporated and the base and the “；winter scene”； bleached from the sun. I thought this would be fun to give the globe new life by altering and creating a Spring scene inside.pillow covers floral

Since there were screws in the bottom， I took it apart and cleaned it inside-out and taped off around the glass globe before painting.
I applied two coats of Ivory Decor and DIY Paint and once dry， removed the tape around the glass globe.
I cut an assortment of flowers， leaves and greenery from White Cardstock and 7gypsies Gypsy Moments： Take Our Breath Away Paper using the following diecuts： Flower and Leaf Stitchlets， Stitchy Flowers and Leaf and Holiday Greens Dies.
I used Glimmer and Simply Sheer mists to paint the flowers. I spritzed the different mists onto a piece of glass and then poured a small amount of water so the colors would blend and placed each flower into the colors.Once the color was absorbed， I moved each flower to the side of the glass to dry. I love the soft mingled colors of each flower.
I drew a circle on chipboard that would fit the opening of the globe and cut out along with a bunny image that I found on the internet. I wadded up a piece of tissue paper， adhered to the center of the circle along with the bunny –； this created a ‘；podium’； for the bunny to stand on.
Next， I covered the tissue with moss and shaped the flowers before adding them to the arrangement. To the centers of the flowers I added Dew Drops， mini flat back pearls and sequins. I finished the scene with a few pearl sprays.
I adhered the arrangement to the inside lip of the globe and then added painter’；s tape to keep it in place.Once the adhesive dried， I removed the tape and screwed the music box back inside of the base.
This was a very simple project to create even though it looks labor intensive –； it wasn’；t.Are you now ready to find your own snow globe to alter？

Karen Jiles?here with you today and I’d like to show you my seashore themed mini album.I really enjoyed creating this mini book with the Sails and Shells collection. I loved the colors of the collection and how beautifully the elements coordinated. The collection included different base textures: corrugated board, patterned fabric, and burlap, providing so many fun textures to create with.
I have been dreaming of a votive candle wall above the bathtub since we moved into this house nearly two years ago. ?The one thing I did not want was a large metal votive holder. ?I wanted something simpler and lighter. ?I wanted to let the flickering candle flames be the focus. ?I pinned two inspiration images; one of DIY hanging mason jar votive holders and another of assorted hanging glass votive holders.
